Seller agreement

What you promise when you list a shop, what a credit is and when it comes back, and how money does and does not move you up the order. Short, and checkable against the code.

Version 2026-10-03

Who this is between

This is the agreement between you, the person or business listing a shop, and nehruplaceonline.com. It sits on top of the Terms of use, which still apply to you as to anyone; where the two disagree about listing a shop, this one wins.

Listing a shop costs nothing and creating a listing is your acceptance of this agreement. We will ask you to accept it again, from your dashboard, whenever it changes in a way that matters to you.

What you promise about your listing

You own the business, or you are authorised in writing to list it. One shop per account.

Everything in the listing is true on the day you write it and you will correct it when it stops being true: name, floor and unit, phone, hours, what you stock, what you charge.

A price on this site is your price, exclusive of GST. If you type a GST-inclusive price the form converts it and shows you both before it saves. MRP is the one exception and is always inclusive, because that is what MRP means.

Say what the goods are. Condition (sealed, open box, refurbished) and where warranty starts (the manufacturing date or your invoice date) are fields, not decoration; a buyer relies on them, and a listing that misdescribes either is removed.

Keep prices fresh. An offer nobody has touched for a long time is shown with its age and ranked lower, because a stale price is the most common complaint buyers make about directories.

You will not post reviews of your own shop, ask friends to, pay for them, or try to manipulate ranking. You will not list counterfeit or stolen goods. The Terms list what we remove; this repeats the part that matters most to dealers.

Credits: what they buy, when they are spent, when they come back

A credit is a unit of access, not money. It buys the introduction to a buyer — their contact details — and the reports in your dashboard. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred and is never paid out.

Every plan gets a monthly allowance in two pools: contact credits (Basic 50, Silver 500, Gold 1,500, Platinum 5,000) and report credits (Basic 5, Silver 50, Gold 200, Platinum 750). These are read from the code that grants them.

Allowances expire at the end of the month. Platinum may carry forward up to 2.25 times one month's allowance in each pool; every other plan starts the month with only its new allowance.

A credit is spent when you act on a lead — you reveal a buyer's contact, open a quote request, or ask for a report. The same buyer is charged once however many times you call, reply or return. An enquiry always reaches you even with no credits left; credits decide when you can act on it, never whether you hear about it.

The ledger only ever adds rows. A charge made in error — twice for one buyer, or for something that did not happen — is put right with a reversal line you can see, never by editing the old one. Tell us through the contact page and we answer within seven working days.

Advertising budgets are reserved from your ad credits when you submit a campaign. A campaign we reject is refunded in full, and a campaign that ran for less than you bought is refunded for the impressions that did not run. A campaign that ran and did not perform is not refunded.

How shops are ranked, and what money can and cannot do

The ranking is published signal by signal, with its real weights, on the How this works page. Paying for a plan adds a boost of up to 250 points; a fully trusted verification is worth more than that on its own (120 points per level, across several levels), and a complete listing and good reviews add to it. A complete, verified, well-reviewed free shop can and does outrank an empty paid one.

Paid placements are labelled wherever they appear: Sponsored on a shop card, Ad on a banner. Payment never buys a verification badge, a review, a response score or a place in the organic order that the published weights do not give.

We may change the weights. When we do, the How this works page changes in the same release, because it reads from the same numbers.

Buyers' details are for answering the buyer

When you reveal a buyer's contact you may use it to answer that enquiry and to complete the deal they asked about. You may not sell it, pass it to another business, or add the buyer to a marketing list without their consent. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act makes you responsible for what you do with it from the moment you hold it.

We do not sell an enquiry to your neighbours, and we do not ask you to pay again for the same buyer.

Reviews and disputes

You can reply to a review in public. You cannot remove one; staff do that, for the reasons in the Terms, and a review is not removed because it is unwelcome.

A buyer can raise a dispute against your shop. We pass it to you in full, you have a fair time to answer, and we say what we decided and why. We are not a court and we do not decide who is owed money; we decide what appears on our directory.

Leaving, and being removed

You can close your account at any time from Settings. Your listing comes down at once and your data is erased after the seven-day recovery window.

We can hide a listing or close an account that breaks the Terms or this agreement. We say why, you can answer, and one appeal is heard by someone who did not make the first decision. Unused credits have no cash value and are not refunded when an account closes; paid plan periods follow the Refunds page.

Questions about any of this go through the contact page.
